David Lundy Said:

I received Ruth’s book from someone, and then was in the rare and wondrous state of being able to give a gift, yet keep it at the same time. The physical book left my fingers, but the story and the lessons remained imprinted on my heart. The remarkable sagas of Holocaust survivors are always poignant to me, but “To Auschwitz and Back” rattled and shook my sense of what it means to come through great adversity. I often think of it, and it bolsters my resolve to push past hate, to abandon my fears by the side of the road, and to remember the great power of simple kindness. I have many times shared with others the moment in the book that held the most significance for me, but will leave the future reader to discover what speaks most to them. I hope I am a better person for reading it; it feels that way.
